MVR Expansion Joint & Bellows Compensator

Reliable displacement compensation, vibration isolation and corrosion resistance for MVR evaporator systems.

MVR (Mechanical Vapor Recompression) evaporators operate under demanding conditions—vacuum, elevated steam temperatures, corrosive media and continuous compressor vibration. Our MVR expansion joints and bellows compensators are engineered specifically for these operating conditions, protecting piping, compressors and heat exchangers from thermal displacement, vibration and misalignment.

Where Our MVR Expansion Joints Are Used

  • Compressor inlet/outlet piping – vibration isolation and thermal movement absorption

  • Secondary steam piping – thermal compensation for high-temperature vapor lines

  • Heater / evaporator shell connections – compensating relative movement between equipment and piping

  • Condensate & non-condensable gas lines – thermal displacement compensation

  • Circulation pump connections – vibration damping and installation tolerance

  • Inter-stage / multi-effect connecting piping – absorbing relative displacement between vessels

Key Features

  • Vacuum-rated design – external pressure stability checked for vacuum service

  • Corrosion-resistant materials – 316L, duplex stainless steel, titanium, Hastelloy available for high-chloride and aggressive media

  • Vibration damping – dedicated anti-vibration designs for compressor connections

  • High fatigue life – designed for continuous MVR operation (≥1000 cycles, project-specific)

  • Multiple configurations – axial, universal, hinged, and double (tied) designs

  • Custom displacement – axial, lateral and angular movement tailored to your piping layout
