Nickel Bellows Expansion Joint — Reliable Compensation for Corrosive and High-Temperature Pipelines

Nickel bellows expansion joints are precision-engineered pipeline components designed to absorb axial, lateral and angular movement caused by thermal expansion, pressure changes, vibration and installation misalignment. The nickel bellows — formed from high-purity nickel or nickel alloy sheet — provides excellent resistance to corrosion, oxidation and elevated temperatures, making these expansion joints a dependable choice for demanding service conditions.

Key Features

  • High-purity nickel bellows with excellent corrosion resistance in caustic, acidic and oxidizing media

  • Superior performance at elevated temperatures and in thermal cycling service

  • Flexible bellows design absorbs axial, lateral and angular displacement

  • Reduces vibration transmission and protects pumps, valves and connected equipment

  • Available with flanged, welded or threaded ends; single or multiple bellows; with or without internal sleeve and external cover

  • Custom diameters, wall thicknesses, movement ratings and pressure classes on request

Typical Applications
Chemical processing and caustic handling lines, marine and offshore piping, nuclear and power generation systems, heat exchangers, exhaust and high-temperature gas ducts, and other corrosive or high-temperature pipeline systems.

Materials & Options
Bellows: pure nickel (Ni200/Ni201) or nickel alloys such as Inconel 600/625, Monel 400 as required. End connections and flanges can be supplied in matching or dissimilar metals to suit the pipeline. Optional items include limit rods, hinges, gimbals, internal liners and protective covers.

Quality & Testing
Each unit is manufactured to applicable standards (e.g., EJMA, ASME) and can be supplied with dimensional inspection, pressure testing, helium leak testing and material certificates upon request.
